It was a very small art show because of the rainy weather but those of us that were there enjoyed the day in spite of the weather. It was a well run event sponsored by the Friends of the Arts in Plymouth. I enjoyed meeting many new artisans and the people that ran the event. Usually there are at least 22 artisans but because of the weather I understand many people cancelled. i journeyed to Plymouth on Thursday enjoying the area by camping at Baker River Campground and by hiking Quincy Bog and climbing Rattlesnake Mountain in Rumney. What a incredible view from the top of Rattlesnake Mountain. Pictures to follow. Look at the events page for upcoming events.

Craft Fairs and Upcoming events https://whitemountaincreations.net/blog/2014/7/craft-fairs-and-upcoming-events We did a new Craft Fair this year in Franconia. It was Franconia's Old Home days. It was a successful day thanks to all the people that attended. The weather was beautiful, a little windy, but it didn't cause too much havoc for us. Our tent was staked down and we didn't have too much problem with items blowing off the table. We sold several framed photographs as well as matted photos. Most of them went out of the state of New Hampshire to folks from New Hampshire that are making their home in other places and wanted a piece of home with them. It's always a great feeling when folks buy our photographs so they can have "home" with them.

As for upcoming events, we will be at the Ricky Nelson Remembered concert and craft fair on Saturday, July 12th from 9 am to at least 3 pm. The next event after that is Rumney Old Home Days in Rumney, NH on Saturday, August 9th from 8 am to 3:30 pm. It's a great event with lots of talented artisans as well as great entertainment. So come out and join us for both. See you soon.

Pictures of new cards https://whitemountaincreations.net/blog/2014/7/pictures-of-new-cards Finally, I have uploaded the pictures of our cards onto the website. I am so happy that this is finally done.  My next project is to upload more pictures that I have recently taken. Everything seems to take longer than I expect. But in due time it will get done. Thanks for your patience.

Lupine Festival Followup https://whitemountaincreations.net/blog/2013/6/lupine-festival-followup Inspite of the weather it was good to be at the Lupine Festival. I met some wonderful people, some of whom bought some of our matted photos and others who just admired our work. It is always fun to share our stories of our encounters with the wildlife in our pictures and to hear others stories too of their experiences. I just wish I could get out on a daily basis to hike and experience all that surrounds me.

I met this women who is to be an avid hiker and enjoys taking photos as well. She has a blog called "New Hampshire Mountain Musings: Tales of an Aging Hiker" at http://lisacourcyrnc.wordpress.com where she also commented on our photos. I read some of her recent tales which were quite interesting. So check out our photos and her blog and look for us at future events.

Springtime https://whitemountaincreations.net/blog/2013/6/springtime Due to work schedules I haven't been out much taking pictures except when I walk with a person I care for. Just recently I saw a gray fox as it appeared from behind a house. It stopped and looked right at me and then as I raised my camera to take a picture it scooted off. Go figure. However I did get a great picture of the fox. I also have been taking quite a few pictures of birds, hummingbirds in particular at my house. They are the most amazing creatures.  I also have taken some great pictures with our 600 mm lens which I will post shortly. In fact my internet is down at the moment and I am using a friends but as soon as I can I will post these pictures. I hope to be able to get out soon and take more wildlife pictures.

This weekend we will be at the Open Air Market in Sugar Hill which is part of the Lupine Festival. Come out and join in the celebration and support the local artisans.

Cold Temps and Sunrise https://whitemountaincreations.net/blog/2013/1/cold-temps-and-sunrise Sunrise behind The Presidential Range from Jefferson Meadows It was very cold this morning around 23 below zero. Not a comfortable temperature at all. But yet as I look around and breathe in the clean, very crisp air and look at all the beautiful snow, I realize how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest. Everyday I am delighted by something new, a fox, a deer, a moose, snow flakes. I just never know what I might see as I venture out. And today it was a beautiful sunrise over the Presidential Range.  Awesome! Beauty is everywhere I go here and I am always surprised and delighted with what I see as I venture out each day. I always carry my camera and keep my eyes and ears open because I never know what I might see and hear. Be prepared to be surprised and delighted in the White Mountains.

Christmas Festivals https://whitemountaincreations.net/blog/2012/12/christmas-festivals Only 17 days till Christmas and the spirit of Christmas was in the air today as people in Jefferson celebrated and shopped at the Jefferson Christmas Festival. We attended and sold products that feature our photography including many of our framed and matted prints, magnets and key chains, mouse pads and coaster sets.  Again this year we made Hershey Bar Snowman. They were such a big hit that we sold out all 60+ that we had in stock. We will be busy this week making more Hershey Bar Snowman before the next craft fair December 15, 2012 at the Lafayette School in Francoinia, NH. So come check this craft fair. It should be well attended.Winter Way

Other vendors were selling hand crafted Christmas gifts such as wooden snowman and Christmas trees, fresh wreaths, jewelry, knitted and crocheted items, goat milk soap, scarves made from a Malamute's undercoat plus sheep wool.  There were dog sled demonstrations, wagon rides, a visit by Santa and Christmas stories read by Mrs. Claus. Katie Rose sang beautiful Christmas songs along with some local talent such as Emma Dean and other young ladies. There was free cider and pizza at the local eateries - Hometown Market and Deli and the Old Corner Store. A good time was had by all who attended. Don't miss it next year. It is always lots of fun.

Craft Fair at the Town of Carroll town hall https://whitemountaincreations.net/blog/2012/11/craft-fair-at-the-town-of-carroll-town-hall A big "thank you" to all who stopped by our table at the Town of Carroll town hall on Saturday, November 24th. It was a successful day with selling several matted and framed photos and other items such as Hershey Bar snowman, greeting cards and more. It is such a good feeling when people want to buy our photographs and place them in their homes or give them as gifts. I love knowing that our photos of the North Country not only stay here but go elsewhere. And who knows if when others see the photos if they will eventually come visit the North Country.

Photos of Maine https://whitemountaincreations.net/blog/2012/11/photos-of-maine The recently uploaded pictures I took in Maine are from Acadia National Park. What a beautiful place! Unfortunately the week that we were there the skies were gray most every day as well as foggy and misty but it didn't keep us from enjoying ourselves and seeing the area. Some of the places we visited on Mount Desert Island were the town of Bar Harbor; Cadillac Mountain; Jordan Pond House where you can get the most scrumptious pop-overs with butter and strawberry jam; and the coastline. Too much to do in a short amount of time. I highly recommend visiting the area.
